Sveti Martin na Muri Thermal Spa

Visitors to the north of Croatia will find Sveti Martin na Muri a north eastern gem. Rolling hills with wineries and charming cabins create a landscape for road trips around the area. The Sveti Martin Thermal Spa is 4-star luxurious resort that will tempt you with its recreational activities, top-notch spa services and irresistible gastronomic experiences. The thermal waters, which are inviting at any time of the year are available in numerous pools and hot tubs. If you are wondering if Sveti Martin Thermal Spa is worth the visit, keep reading as today I am sharing with you my personal experience with staying at the resort!

Located approximately 120 km away from Zagreb, Sveti Martin Thermal Spa has been a popular tourist destination for decades.

Accommodation at Sveti Martin Thermal Spa

Sveti Martin Thermal Spa offers two types of accommodation. First is the 4-start hotel Therme Sveti Martin with 151 rooms and 6 deluxe suites. If you are planning a romantic weekend with your significant other, however, you might choose one of the apartments in the Apartment Village. While there are 69 standard double apartments, the resort also offers 29 larger family flats, which are perfect if you will be planning a family holiday. I have to admit that the hotel rooms might seem a bit outdated, however, the resort is continuously improving and some of the rooms have been renovated and have been opened only since June 2021.

Regardless what type of room or apartment you will get, though, you can definitely count on the excellent service and the extreme cleanliness throughout the entire resort. We stayed for a week with family during the summer and we were all absolutely delighted with our stay. I would also add that any time of the year is a good period to visit Sveti Martin Thermal Spa.

Amenities at Sveti Martin Thermal Spa

Spa and Wellness

By far the most common reason why visitors choose to stay at Sveti Martin Thermal Spa is the incredible spa and wellness amenities. You will be surprised by the variety of massages that the wellness center has on offer – from an exotic Thai massage to a traditional full body massage, the options are endless. I strongly suggest stopping by the bio sauna, which is one of the best ones I have ever seen. The low humidity allows for a much more comfortable experience! The Ice Cave with Siberian sky is another must-try.

Golf

The 9-hole course is a real treat for any golf lover. It might be difficult to believe, but the golf course is also operational year-round as it uses heated artificial grass and greens! So, even if you are visiting during the winter, you will be able to hit the golf course! Can you think of anything better!

Sports Hall

The Sports Hall is calling all athletes or gym junkies, who do not want to take a break! There is nothing better than hitting the gym center early in the morning and admiring the sunrise through the ceiling to floor windows. If you are visiting on a girl’s trip, you might want to stop by the dance studio for an aerobics or Pilates class.

Cycling

Sveti Martin Thermal Spa is surrounded by endless greenery, which is calling your name if you are a nature enthusiast. Rent a bike and explore the nearby biking trails. With 12 different routes and 20 points of interest along the way, the trails cover more than 700 km! Even if you are staying for a week, you cannot get bored!

Food

If you have followed me for a while, you already know that food is an inevitable part of our travels, so next, I am covering what food options you can enjoy at Sveti Martin Thermal Spa.

Breakfast

A fantastic breakfast is included and we loved it. There were several stations with lots of vegetables and fruits. The resort aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, so you will find lots of natural, organic food options. They work with close to twenty different local suppliers and try to create a unique, innovative menu!

Restaurants

There is a huge variety of restaurants at Sveti Martin Thermal Spa. From light lunch meals to signature drinks, there is a bit of everything for everyone!

At Restaurant Falat you will be immediately welcomed by the relaxing atmosphere. The buffet restaurant offers a huge choice of vegetable options, which come directly from their own biodynamic garden. If you are looking for a light and healthy home-made type of dishes, this is the place for you!

Restaurant Quelle is also a buffet type restaurant with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. It was probably my favorite as the focus is on the local Medimurje region. Dishes are prepared in an authentic, traditional way and served in antique baked earth bowls.

Pub Potkova is the place to stop at if you want to treat yourself to a fun night. It is not just the special weekly entertainments and games that attract visitors, but also the tasty draft beer and mouth-watering beef burgers!

Situated right next to the thermal spa, Aqua38 is a buffet-style restaurant perfect for a quick bite if you get hungry during the day. The menu options are quite affordable as well!

If you love smoothies, you need to stop by W bar. It is also located next to the warm pool in the spa and is perfect for hydrating yourself after spending a few hours in the wellness centre. Besides the smoothies, the bar also offers a wide variety of homemade desserts, which are so delicious that it would be a shame if you do not get one!
