In Sveti Martin Na Muri during mid-June there is a car event that attracts visitors from all over Europe. Germans, Austrians, Italians, Slovenians, and Croatians drive their classic American vehicles to northern Croatia for a venue where their cars are displayed for all to see. Some drivers will bring models adorned in retro attire. Many of the attendees are also dressed up for the festivities. In 2021 the event took place by the thermal spa, but in 2022 they were back by the river which is where the annual event typically takes place.
Use Visit Medimurje to plan your visit to Trash and Burn, the annual event is sure to please car and motorcycle fans. Live music, several areas of food and beverages and lots of stands selling handmade goods are some of the extras to experience while visiting, there is even a barber for a quick haircut.
Visitors can walk around the large grounds to see an arena where car races are held, watch live music, and taste a variety of dishes. Car fans will enjoy all the fun mustangs, but don’t worry if you’re not into cars because funky retro trucks and motorcycles line the walkways.
