For cinnamon dough:
- 500g finely ground peeled almonds
- 300g powdered sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
- 2 tablespoons amaretto or almond liqueur
For glazing:
- 125g powdered sugar
- 1 egg white
For marzipan:
- 150g of flour
- baking powder (half tablespoon)
- 50g of sugar
- 2 packets of vinyl sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 80g butter
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 150g of finished marzipan mass
- a jar of apricot jam
To prepare the cinnamon stars preheat the oven to 150 degrees C
Line the baking tray with baking paper. Mix up the almond, powdered sugar and cinnamon. Add egg whites and liqueur and knead the dough. Roll it out on a floured surface and cut out the stars.
For glazing, beat the egg whites into a stiff batter, mix in the powdered sugar and beat until glassy. apply the resulting glaze to each star, place them on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes.
For stars with marzipan mix flour with baking powder. add sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolk, softened butter and water and quickly knead the dough (preferably with an electric appliance). Immediately roll it out on a floured surface and cut out the stars in the shape.
Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 180 degrees C for 10-12 minutes. Let it cool down. Roll out the marzipan mass and cut out as many stars as you have cookies. Place the marzipan on the jam (this is how it will stick it to the biscuit).
